Interview with Antonij Kochovski

Why did you choose the MBA Aviation Management?

I have chosen the MBA in Aviation Management to expand my knowledge and gain practical insight into the business sector of the aviation industry. I believe that the MBA program is a way forward for my carrier and will allow me to increase my exposure to international aviation projects and my potential in the future.

What do you expect to benefit most from the MBA Program?

I believe that the most beneficial aspect of the MBA program is the possibility to expand my professional network by meeting and exchanging experiences with other aviation professionals.

What do you expect to enjoy most about the MBA Program?

I believe that the most enjoyable part of the MBA Program will be coming back to a classroom setting and working on projects related to sustainable aviation management and airline business management. These two modules will provide me with an opportunity to gain practical insight into two sectors of the aviation industry which until now I have limited experience in.

What do you think will be the hardest part of the program for you?

I think that the module related to airline technical and financial management will be the most difficult part of the MBA program. However, I strive to challenge myself with everything I do in my professional career and this module will provide me with a great learning opportunity that will test my analytical skills.

Why did you choose the MBA Aviation Management?

After 20 years of practical experience in various positions in the aviation industry, the MBA in Aviation Management allowed me to develop my skills in leadership and allowed me to gain theoretical knowledge of Aviation Management. With this, I was able to grow my professional network and gain confidence in decision-making in management positions and increase my potential.

What have you benefited most from the MBA Program?

The main benefit of the MBA program was the knowledge gained and the ability to apply it to my professional carrier. My professional life changed one year after graduation. I started my consultancy career as a deputy team leader (2004-2006) on an EU-funded project, and from the year 2006 to this date, I have worked on more than 20 projects worldwide. The MBA program provided me with a fruitful career path and a high level of emotional intelligence that is needed to be efficient when working in different environments and with people from diverse cultures.

What did you enjoy most about the MBA program?

The most enjoyable part of the MBA program for me was the interactive approach of the lectures and the ability for the students to exchange experiences and ways they practically implemented their theoretical knowledge in their jobs and organizations

What was the hardest part of the program for you?

The hardest part of the program was the Accounting and Finance module and the fact that I was away from my family during my studies.

„The MBA program provided me with a fruitful career path and a high level of emotional intelligence that is needed to be efficient when working in different environments and with people from diverse cultures.“
