World Leader in Extracorporeal Blood Purification
The goal of the Center for Biomedical Technology (ZBMT) is to specialize in extracorporeal blood purification systems within the field of biomedical technology and to be an internationally renown institute for research and development and teaching.

The Center for Biomedical Technology challenges itself to create new technologies for blood purification with new and increased capacities for clinical use by developing itself in the areas of adsorption, membranes, sensor technology and cell biology.

The Center for Biomedical Technology is also establishing new and standardized methods for testing materials which is a highly valued service.
