Objective |
| Higher Education Institutions in German speaking countries are currently gaining autonomy, especially in the matters of budget and personnel and are thus challenged to provide modern and skilled management, facing these new tasks. Traditional administration has to develop new strategies, adequate and applicable for the academic sector. Then models of organisational structure fitting for public administration or for the economic system can not be transferred directly into academic life. Rather professional management has to be developed for Higher Education Institutions. These shifts and developments do not yet get the positive attention they deserve – neither within universities, nor in the public. At the same time there is a pool of innovative ideas, projects and initiatives, promoted by committed persons, who should be given their due credit and appreciation. |
Scholarships |
The Danube University Krems together with the Danube Rectors’s Conference want to award groundbreaking concepts and best-practice-examples in the area of Higher Education Management with a scholarship, to support the progression in this new field.
The Department for Continuing Education Research and Educational Management assigns to two projects, selected by a panel of experts:
1 Scholarship for the Master Programme
