Pedagogical Professionalisation and Quality Development

Specialized Field

The Specialized Field of Pedagogical Professionalisation and Quality Development is concerned mainly with issues relating to teaching-learning processes for adults in the academic and continuing education society. In addition to the subjective side of continued learning by adults, key questions also include the professional activities of those working in continuing education. The research topics include learning biographies, lifelong skills development, the shaping of innovative teaching-learning cultures, teaching-learning arrangements and consultation forms suitable for adults, social and individual needs for continuing education, institutional development of adult education, professionalisation and standards of pedagogical professionalisation, and adequate evaluation and continuing education concepts.
