Danube University Krems wins grant for Erasmus Mundus Mastercourse
Mastercourse Research and Innovation in Higher Education (MARIHE) starts in August 2012

Danube University Krems is now the third university in Austria to coordinate an Erasmus Mundus Mastercourse. Partners in the consortium are the University of Tampere (Finland), Beijing Normal University (China) and the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück (Germany).

Erasmus Mundus Logo EngMARIHE trains higher education managers for research and innovation in higher education institutions. Students of the mastercourse in english language will spend their first semester in Krems, the second semester in Tampere, the third semester in Peking und the fourth semester in Osnabrück, Tampere or Krems. Graduates will receive a joint degree from Danube University Krems, University of Tampere and University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück. The master course is coordinated at the Centre for Educational Management and Higher Education Development at Danube University Krems.

 

The Erasmus Mundus Programme of the European Commission aims to raise the attractiveness of the European Higher Education Area for students and scholars from all over the world and wants to foster cooperation between EU states and between the EU and other states. Therefore the programme awards grants for innovative master and PhD courses delivered by  international consortia. This includes extensive scholarships for both students and scholars.
