PR and Integrated Communication

 

Networked thinking – turning communication into a fluid process is the idea behind this four-semester Master’s programme. With 15 weekend and four weekday modules, this MSc in PR and Integrated Communication equips communication trainees with the ability to make use of the various communication disciplines in a strategically coordinated way.

The university course Public Relations distance learning PR PLUS Austria passes on specific knowledge and skills associated with communication, editorial work, conceptual design and management. This theory-based course is offered in a distance-learning format, parallel to employment and online. The main feature of the PR PLUS Austria distance learning is five practical workshops in which public relations tools are put to use.

This upgrade to Master of Science (MSc) serves to build on the study content of the PR PLUS training to become a qualified PR consultant with specific content from the PR and Integrated Communication Master programme.

Communication and Management

 

Communication and management: the name of this extra-occupational master’s degree says it all. The field of communication incorporates a whole host of disciplines from communication psychology, corporate communication and investor relations to media training and negotiation techniques. The management part of this degree concentrates on aspects of business administration such as balance sheet analyses and controlling, as well as pursuing general areas of sales such as marketing and branding. There is also an element dealing with organisation and management, as well as the subject of project and personnel management. Leaders receive the necessary tools to retain their edge in times of constant change by looking at crisis management and change management.

The Communications MBA Communication and Leadership was created by the Department for Knowledge and Communication Management, part of the Center for Communication i.e. the Center for Journalism and Knowledge Management. In striking a fair balance between theoretical and practical work on the disciplines of communication and leadership, participants can learn a wide range of soft and hard skills.
