MSc in Computational Life SciencesMaster of Science (MSc)
|
This brand new postgraduate MSc program combines tuition in molecular biology, software development, statistics, translational clinical research and integrative analysis strategies with training in research methods and an individual master project.
The aim of this Central European MSc program is to provide background and hands-on knowledge for handling, integrating, analyzing and interpreting molecular data, clinical data, medication and environmental factors, all valuable in characterizing clinical presentation of disease on the individual patient level.
This program educates the first generation of ‘hybrid experts’ characterized by profound application knowledge in patient stratification and personalization for contributing to improved diagnosis, tailored therapy, and better prevention of human diseases.
An interdisciplinary curriculum empowers our MSc graduates to successfully master the growing challenges and opportunities at the interface of molecular basis and clinical presentation of disease by utilizing quantitative, computer-based science.
The Teaching Faculty is primarily based in Europe but also recruited from abroad. Its members are senior researchers and teachers comprising personalities from academic research as well as application-oriented development from the pharmaceutical and biotech industry.
