The postgraduate program Photography/Image Science conveys key competencies for acquiring highly qualified positions in cultural institutions and the field of photography and photo-related projects.
Designated international experts, such as Anton HOLZER, Dipl.-Ing. Marjen SCHMIDT, Martin C. JÜRGENS, Carl AIGNER, Bernd STIEGLER, Oliver GRAU, T.O. IMMISCH and others provide deep going knowledge about the history of photography, main techniques, genres and latest developments at the image market. Furthermore the course focuses on future prospects of digital photography. Photographic material is discussed in its various manifestations: as an artistic form of expression, as well as a social scientific document. At the same time the course lays as special interest on practical training, achievement of general management skills and know-how of the image market(s).
