The international Master’s Program Future Building Solutions, MSc. is the leading international master’s for sustainable and energy efficient building design in Europe. Future Building Solutions, MSc. sets its sights on developing and imparting the newest design solutions in the area of sustainable building and construction. Participants from twenty countries – architects and engineers from countries like India, Saudi Arabia, Germany or the United States – have profited from the program.

As a participant in the Master’s Program you receive an extensive overview and wide-ranged international information on the entire topic of sustainable building design, cutting-edge knowledge and leading know-how in the field of building technologies and concepts and the necessary key skills enabling you to successfully plan, optimize and implement sustainable and energy efficient building projects as a sustainable design specialist.

Future Building Solutions, MSc. is exclusively tailored for professionals and is specifically oriented toward their needs. The program is offered extra-occupational and condensed in nine module weeks, which are spread over one and a half years, and is taught by an international team of professionals and scientists.

Acquire expertise in the design and implementation of sustainable architecture, the most prestigious discipline of sustainable construction. Learn how to design and optimize sustainable and energy efficient projects – gain knowledge about climate, context, and thermal comfort; of sustainable design strategies for cold and hot climates by means of building design and using passive energy sources; and about the application of highly efficient building services as well as daylight-sensitive building design. Learn about the basic principles and the application of the Life-Cycle-Analysis for energy systems, structural designs, and buildings right up to the calculation of life cycle costs; about the basics of micro-climates, building aerodynamics and air flows inside buildings as well as sustainable spatial and urban planning.

- Professional software tools
Learn how to successfully apply professional software tools for efficient planning and optimization of sustainable projects, e.g. the climate database METEONORM, low end and high end building simulation tools such as TRNSYSlite and TAS, RELUX for daylight optimization, and the ecological calculation of structural designs and buildings using ECOSOFT.
