Target group Middle-level managers from for-profit and non-profit organisations; in particular, managers of a commercial sector, department, project and team who want to improve their communication skills and business capabilities.
Admission requirements A completed undergraduate-level degree or equivalent qualifications based on several years of professional experience are prerequisites to your application. Every applicant who satisfies these entry requirements is invited to an individual entrance interview.

Minimum age: 24 years

Entrance interviews take place on an ongoing basis.

Communication and management: the name of this extra-occupational master’s degree says it all. The field of communication incorporates a whole host of disciplines from communication psychology, corporate communication and investor relations to media training and negotiation techniques. The management part of this degree concentrates on aspects of business administration such as balance sheet analyses and controlling, as well as pursuing general areas of sales such as marketing and branding. There is also an element dealing with organisation and management, as well as the subject of project and personnel management. Leaders receive the necessary tools to retain their edge in times of constant change by looking at crisis management and change management.


This master's degree sets considerable store by holistic thinking and networked action. As a result, students are also taught the essentials of law and the political system in addition to the two core topics of communication and management.
Lecturers with experience at an international level, together with a period of study abroad (USA), add weight to the international relevance of this degree.
The focus of this extra-occupational master’s degree is on developing individual communication and management capabilities, preparing students for the next step in their career. Individual communication capabilities are constantly improved by encouraging students to reflect on what they are doing, a principle which runs throughout the whole degree programme.
