Pharmaceutical companies are currently in an environment of hitherto unknown commercial dynamics. On the one hand, financial markets and investors demand increasing returns; on the other hand, expenses for the development and introduction of new products are explosively high. The pressure of success and the increasing competitive clamor for clients requires a more pronounced business-oriented approach, in addition to expertise in the pharmaceutical and natural-science sector. In order to cope with these challenges, persons working in the pharmaceutical industry need management training to prepare them for their business-oriented activities.
