Study admittance
To guarantee the highest possible level of learning and training success, study places are limited.
If the number of applicants exceeds the number of study places, the Rectorate together with the Dean of the Teaching Faculty selects the candidates based on the quality of their application. Academic and professional qualifications as well as the motivation to pursue the program are relevant. Early application is greatly advised!

Please send PDF-files of the following documents to apply for the program:

  • Completed application form with a current photo and the candidate’s personal signature
  • Cover letter of intent (max. 2 pages)
  • Europass Curriculum Vitae (study details and professional career steps if applicable)
  • Copies of diplomas
  • Copies of examination reports
  • Copy of passport

When your personal and academic documents are not issued by an EU/EEA country, you need either legalisation by means of an apostille or full legalisation depending on the issuing country. In such a case, Danube University Krems cannot guarantee a study place and admit you to the Master program unless all your documents are legalised. The legalisation process has to be completed in your country of origin and cannot be done at arrival in Austria. The Austrian representative authority in your country can advise you which of the documents have to be legalised and in which way. For your application, copies of the legalised documents are sufficient.

Please note that at Danube University Krems upon arrival you have to present the original documents to the officials.

Informations concerning legalisation of documents you will find in the brochure
"Guide to entry and residence requirements for foreign students"

We can only accept documents in English or German. Please provide translations of documents in other languages. After your admission (offer of a study place) by Danube University Krems you will have to provide certified translations of your diplomas and examination reports either in English or German.
After having received the application material the Danube University Krems will acknowledge your application by E-mail.
