Modern Life Cycle Management primarily offers innovative concepts to minimize such support costs that typically exceed actual
acquisition costs by far.
Decisions in System Life Cycle Management are based on applied procedures and methods to analyse life cycle costs and to develop
models for the future costs. Concepts like Supportability Engineering, Maintainability Engineering, „Design-to-Cost“ or „Design-to-
Maintain“ respectively comprise strategic forecasting and planning of future efforts to maintain the operability and readiness of systems.
