In accordance with § 43 UG 2002, an Arbitration Commission should be established at every university. Its tasks include mediation in case of disputes among members of the University and making decisions about complaints of the Committee for Equality Issues because of discrimination due to gender or following the decision of a University organ.
The Arbitration Commission consists of six members who need not be members of the University. One male and one female member will be nominated by the Senate, the University Council and the Committee for Equality Issues for a term of office of two years. Two of the members must be legally qualified persons.
