On 1 December 2010, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Victoria Weber was announced Vice-Rector for Research and Promotion of Young Scientists by the University Council of Danube University Krems.

Ms. Weber studied food technology and biotechnology at the Vienna University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences and habilitated in biochemistry in 2008. Between 1994 and 1996, she worked as a post-doctoral assistant at the Institute of Tumor Biology and Cancer Research of the University of Vienna. In 1999, she became a research associate at the Center for Biomedical Technology of the Danube University Krems where she has been working as a deputy head of the Center for Biomedical Technology since 2003. In 2010, Viktoria Weber was appointed university professor for applied biochemistry.
