International Humanitarian Law and Crisis Management

This module focuses on understanding International Humanitarian Law and the Law of Armed Conflict in connection with the protection of cultural property. Geneva Law and Hague Law are the core content; students have ample opportunity to discuss and solve a range of case studies regarding international and non-international armed conflict. The geographic scope ranges from South America to the Middle East and Africa.

Decision-making processes and working with civil and military crisis staff are the first part of the crisis management training that will be continued in Module 4. Media communication during times of crisis is one of the challenges of this module.
