Exploring Future Learning Scenarios in the TRIC Foresight Workshop

On 13 February 2026, all partners joined the TRIC Foresight Workshop online via Zoom. During the workshop, each partner worked with their own group and shared their results by using an online whiteboard tool. The Austria team participated with around 10 people and developed a future learner persona focused on education, AI, inclusion, and social transformation.

The Austrian group’s forecast was shaped around how artificial intelligence and corporatization may strongly influence education and training in the future. According to this forecast, companies may play a bigger role in shaping learning systems and skills development. At the same time, there may be risks for equal opportunities, especially for migrants and vulnerable groups who may not have the same access to AI technologies and education.

The team created a future learner persona named Philippa Mary, a migrant woman from Ghana living in Austria. Philippa works in healthcare but wants to build a new career path through entrepreneurship and vocational education. Her goal is to support migrant women through skills development and professional integration.

The Austria team highlighted the importance of flexible and hybrid learning environments, including online learning AI-supported education systems, peer learning groups, and personalized learning paths in the future learning scenarios. They also emphasized the need for stronger support systems such as childcare, mental health support, financial assistance, and clear administrative guidance for learners in transition.
