Professional Activities

Lukas Zenk is Assistant Professor for Innovation and Network Research at the Department of Knowledge and Communication Management. He studied a combination of business informatics, sociology, and psychology at the Vienna University of Technology and the University of Vienna, where he completed his doctorate in the field of dynamic team networks.


The area of innovation research addresses the basic science questions on how new ideas, processes, and products emerge, and the area of social network analysis investigates patterns of people’s interactions based on graph theory. By integrating cognitive processes and social interactions, the research studies allows us to study various processes of co-creation.
