Danube University Krems Appoints Seven Visiting Professors
Hormone-Expert and head of the Ethics Commission, Johannes Huber, to hold the ceremonial speech
Krems (kpr). The Danube University Krems will honour seven outstanding scientists with the title „Visiting Professor“ in the course of an academic ceremony held on Friday, November 7, 2003. The well-known Viennese gynocolgist and head of the Ethics Commission of the federal government, Univ.-Prof. DDr. Johannes Huber, will be the key-note speaker; his speech will deal with the demographic revolution taking place within society.

The new visiting professors will be teaching or researching in the fields of European law, business and managerial sciences, environmental and medical sciences, telecommunications, information and media, as well as post graduate education at the Danube University Krems. The recipients of the awards are: Univ-Prof. Dr. Josef Aicher, assistant head of the Department of Trade and Commercial Law at the University of Vienna, Dept.Dir. Dr. Wolf D. Müller-Rostin, justiciary of the Delvag Air Traffic Insurance Co. in Cologne, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Ernst Prokop, retired active professor of educational theory at the University of Regensburg, Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Matthias Rant, president of the Main Association of Authorized General Experts Certified by the Court, Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Ulrich Schnyder, head of the Psychiatric Poli-clinic at the University Hospital Zurich, Prof. Dr. Roland Traunmüller, head of the Department of Applied Computer Sciences at the University of Linz, and Assoc. Prof. Gregory Zeibekakis, professor at the Technological Educational Institute of Piraeus (T.E.I.) in Athens.

The designation documents will be awarded by the president of the university, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Werner Fröhlich, and by the head of the teaching staff at the Danube University Krems, Prof. Dr. Dieter Falkenhagen. (05.11.03)
