8th European Stroke Summer School

At the 8th European Stroke Summer School held from 18-24 September 2004 at the Danube University Krems, Professor Gerhard Gensch presented the Center for Contemporary Music and its main activities.
To start off the event, Professor Jürg Kesselring, Chief Physician of the Rehabilitation Centre of Valence in Switzerland, gave a public lecture on the subject “Music and the Brain”. The conference was hosted by the Center for Postgraduate Studies in Neurosciences of Danube University Krems. Professor Michael Brainin, Director of the Center for Postgraduate Studies in Neurosciences, Professor Jürg Kesselring, Chief Physician of the Rehabilitation Centre of Valence, Switzerland, Professor Dieter Falkenhagen, Head of the Department of Environmental and Medical Sciences, and Professor Dr. Gerhard Gensch, Head of the Center for Contemporary Music (from left to right) opened the Stroke Summer School at Danube University Krems.
