Copyright- and Arts Technology Expert Steven Masur in Krems
For our Music Management students the new semester starts with a special guest lecturer: the renowned New York lawyer Steven Masur presents legal aspects of high technology music business, the impact of digital media on our society, problems and sustainable actionable solutions present.

Technologisation and globalization have changed the music industry sustainable - therefore a priority in the study "Music Management" is dedicated to exactly this topic. In the currently held module of the 3rd semester Steven Masur, Copyright and Arts Technology expert from News York, presents the impact of modern technology on production mechanisms, the music consumption of modern society and the associated order changing values. Masur gives insight into the workflows, in the interaction between creatives, labels and publishers, software and hardware companies, but also the direct impact of technologies on society. He will highlight problems as well as sustainably implementable solutions.


Steven Masur has over 22 years of experience advising emerging and established businesses on new opportunities and business challenges. He focuses his practice on corporate finance, M&A, intellectual property, entertainment, emerging businesses and strategic guidance. He is passionate about helping new businesses plan a path to success, and helping older businesses bridge the gap to new markets.


Steve brings a unique mix of legal, business, and strategic experience to bear on client matters. He has counseled enterprise level clients including Shazam, Virgin Mobile, Liberty Media, Yamaha, Nielsen Buzzmetrics, Bob Vila and Conde Nast Publications in corporate, digital media, and new business matters. Steve is a regular speaker at Sundance, CES, SXSW, CTIA, Mobile World Congress, and Digital Hollywood and has written a great many articles on cutting edge business and legal issues. He edited the 2010 International Association of Entertainment Lawyers book on Collective Rights Licensing, and frequently blogs about new business issues.
