Music / Media / Business – A Path to Success!
New International Master of Arts Programs have begun at the Center for Contemporary Music!
The international master programs Music Management and Music for Applied Media have started in October 2016 at the Center for Contemporary Music, with students coming from Spain, France, Hungary, Bulgaria, Taiwan, Germany and Austria.

Music Management focuses on all key aspects of the music industry including, among several others, international music markets, artist management, digital music and media businesses, distribution, entrepreneurship and self-management, publishing, record labels, and music presenters, whereas Music for Applied Media highlights the aesthetics, theory, hands-on practice and the business side for those seeking careers in music composition and oproduction supporting other media including film, TV, interactive media, video games the web, Sound Branding, and cross-disciplinary installations. Moreover, both programs focus on IP and Entertainment law disciplines.

The Faculty team includes decision-makers from the music and media businesses such as attorneys Judith Merians, and Steven Masur, IP and entertainment law specialist from both Europe and the US, sound branding experts such as John Groves (e.g. Bacardi, Audi) as well as internationally successful film, game and media music composers including Michael Salvatori (e.g. mega-hit game "Halo") or Mike Moran (including soundtracks and songwriting with Queen's Freddie Mercury). The team also includes Professors and researchers in the fields of music economics, music history, and music psychology among others. Hence, Course Directors Eva Maria Stöckler and Miguel Kertsman bring the international music management and media music businesses to Krems!
