Colatti

Mr. Collatti will be working with our Music for Applied Media MA students in March holding lectures on the disciplines of Instrumentation and Orchestration. Born in 1976 in Argentina, composer and pianist Diego Marcelo Collatti studied composition at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, as well as in Buenos Aires and later at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. He has received several commissions for new works from ensembles, publishers, and festivals, including the Vienna Festival Wiener Festwochen, Festival of Grafenegg, Ensemble Minimal Tango & Tanzshow, and others. Diego is an experienced piano instructor holding regular composition workshops with children and young musicians. His compositions and arrangements frequently appear on stage, CDs, and radio broadcasts as he also performs with various ensembles including at the ORF Radiokulturhaus, Porgy & Bess Jazz Club, and abroad. Several of his works are published by Universal Edition. We, at the Center for Contemporary Music at Danube University, welcome Diego and look forward to an exciting learning week with our students!
