The lecture examines collaborations between different music genres, crossover points, interdisciplinary projects, synergies between music and dance, visual arts, and performative arts as well as music and high-technology initiatives. The lecture concept will also include individual work or group-work, presentations and evaluations.
A selection of reading material will be presented in the lecture.

Collaborative Music Marketing

What types of interdisciplinary collaborations do we encounter in the music business? In what ways, or into which directions can traditional music market segments transform themselves?

“Collaborative Music Marketing“ addresses both Classical and Contemporary Music in other genres, as well as contact points between them and beyond. The lecture examines collaborations between different music genres, crossover points, interdisciplinary projects, synergies between music and dance, visual arts, and performative arts as well as music and high-technology initiatives. The lecture concept will also include individual work or group-work, presentations and evaluations.

Andreas Vierziger works internationally as artistic and strategic consultant in the music field and beyond. He approaches Classical Music from a personal angle re-thinking established constructs and shaping them in a contemporary way.

Among his clients are festivals, concert presenters, artists, record labels and other institutions from the music business. He has collaborated with partners such as the Welsh National Opera/UK, Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad/Switzerland, Vienna MuseumsQuartier, Vivienne Westwood/Milan Fashion Week and David Lynch’s Silencio Club in Paris.As a former artist manager at Buhl Artists Management, he has regularly worked with high profile artists as well as with many prestigious orchestras, festivals, and concert presenters across Europe and the world. He has served as a jury member for various competitions such as the International Johannes Brahms Competition, the Fulbright Concerto Competition and New York Concert Artist Auditions.

Numerous universities invite him to hold lectures including the Vienna University for Music and performing Arts, Mozarteum Salzburg, Zurich University for the Arts, Sibelius Academy Helsinki, Tokyo University for the Arts, Tokyo College of Music, Sciences Po Paris, Paris- Sorbonne, and others.
