Center for Applied Game Studies

The Center of Applied Game Studies investigates the growing cultural importance of digital games, in particular with respect to applications in game design and education. Questions such as

- Are computer games addictive? Do they promote violence?
- How can we utilise games research in order to develop better games?
- How can we utilize highly motivating interactive entertainment in education?

are at the core of our master programs as well as our research activities.

The Center of Applied Games Studies offers master degree programs and seminars in German only. For information on these programs, please consult the German division website.
