Information for Authors


The conference proceedings will be published in print with the Edition Danube University; additionally the complete proceedings will be made accessible online. All articles of the conference proceedings will be licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Austria License. By submitting a paper to CeDEM11, you agree that your paper will be available as paper-print and e-print under the licence given here.

A selection of best papers of CeDEM11 will be published at the Open Access eJournal of eDemocracy and Open Government (JeDEM) after revision thereof.




Thank your for submitting a paper to CeDEM11. We are very happy with the papers received for this years conference. The conference is now offiically closed for submssions (submission portal). For further information about submissions, please contact Michael Sachs.

Submissions are limited to 12 pages maximum (everything included: abstract, list of references, etc.) and they shall be transmitted in pdf-format. CeDEM11 will use EasyChair to ensure a double blind peer-review process, please follow the guidelines written below.



Ensuring a blind review

To ensure the integrity of the blind peer-review for submission to this conference, every effort should be made to prevent the identities of the authors and reviewers from being known to each other. The authors of the document shall delete their names from the text, with "Author" and year used in the references and footnotes, instead of the authors' name, article title, etc. With PDFs, the authors' names should also be removed from Document Properties found under File on Adobe Acrobat's main menu.



Important Dates

  • First deadline for the submission of papers and workshop proposals: 1 December 2010
    On authors' demands: New Extended Deadline for submission of papers and worskhop proposals is 16 January 2011
  • Notification of acceptance: 15 February 2011

  • Camera-ready paper: 4 March 2011
  • Conference: 5-6 May 2011


Authors should present their papers at the conference. Therefore, authors are asked to register at the conference website until the 28 of February 2011 latest. The time slots of the presentations will be announced when the conference programme is ready.
