This university course is a part-time university course of 3 semesters (60 ECTS) and concludes with the title "Academic Expert (AE) in Building Law". The aim of this practice-oriented course is to build up sector-specific competences in legal matters pertaining to the construction industry, e.g. environmental law, labour law, public procurement law and contract law. Managing construction companies requires a deep understanding of the interaction of legal regulations, their application in practice and their impact on project success. In addition to specialist knowledge, it is above all self-competence that is strengthened in order to handle typical construction problems more successfully.
In general, this course of studies addresses highly motivated service providers in the construction industry with several years of experience who wish to acquire legal knowledge to perform their tasks:
- Building contractors, site managers and technicians,
- People who manage and/or supervise construction projects
- Managers and junior managers from the construction industry who wish to take their careers a step further by gaining up to date, practical legal knowledge.
