Gain in-depth insight into life cycle cost calculations and ecological assessment of buildings using practical examples and the latest standards, calculation methods and tools.

In the construction and real estate industry, development is moving away from the limited consideration and optimization of individual areas of responsibility towards a cross-disciplinary and life cycle-oriented way of thinking. The Center for Real Estate and Facility Management at the Department of Building and Environment, headed by Prof. Dr. Helmut Floegl, has been researching the life cycle cost calculation of buildings for many years (see selected projects below). In the seminar Building Life Cycle Analyses, the collected knowledge is combined with the building ecology expertise of the IBO (Austrian Institute for Building and Ecology) and prepared specifically for practitioners and experts from the building and real estate industry.

Goals

Participants learn to apply the methods of life cycle cost calculation and ecological assessment of buildings and building components, so that they can offer appropriate planning and consulting services or apply the skills they have learnt within the framework of in-house research, technology development and innovation activities.

The seminar is split into three modular units (see contents.)

Target group

Architects and technical planners, builders, building contractors, real estate developers, facility managers, etc.
