What you can expect from the course

The aim of the courses offered at the Center for Image Sciences is to provide students with scientifically sound, practice-oriented and historically comparative knowledge about images and image information. Professional and up-to-date knowledge of the handling of material, from historical art media to digital image worlds from science, art and popular culture, enables students to acquire the image and media skills required today.

Combining theory and practice

Core elements of the image science education were defined in a practice-oriented way and compiled as one-semester university courses (Certified Programs, CP) for a future-oriented education. Within the framework of this modular course offering, students can freely combine the various CPs and thus study according to their continuing education needs.
