Certified Program

Legal, technical and criminological knowledge is essential to meet the multitude of challenges posed by today’s interdisciplinary cybercrime. The university course "Cybercrime" aims to offer its students multidisciplinary additional training based on the latest findings, to provide them with theoretical and practice-oriented knowledge about cybercrime in the respective scientific fields. On the one hand, the university course deals with the legal aspects of cybercrime attacks and incidents; on the other hand it includes the technical components, taking the latest technical advances as well as the forensics of cybercrime into account. Criminological aspects such as perpetrator and victim profiles, procedures and successful investigative methods are also discussed. Thus students acquire profound and practical knowledge that enables them to professionally handle the evaluation, assessment and action against cybercrime offences in their daily work.
