In the future, to complete construction projects planning and construction work will be linked digitally to an increasing extent. The project managers’ collection and processing of real-time information enables them to optimize the use of resources and thus reduce construction costs. Studies show that there is still enormous potential to increase productivity by using digital tools in all stages of a construction process.
Applying new technologies also demands other needs for cooperation. The interdisciplinary cooperation on the digital twin makes it possible to reduce costs for the individual processes.
The comprehensive training course aims to impart knowledge necessary for the planning and construction of buildings to create the "digital twin" and to recognize what contribution Building Information Modeling can make to increasing productivity in the respective process step. Current problems software interfaces should be identified and their possible effects presented.
The course targets all those involved in construction projects who work together to develop the digital twin. Especially people interested in future technologies are encouraged to learn and develop this innovative method for construction projects and to shape actively the necessary change processes:
- Builders, building owners
- Architects, property developers
- Specialist planners, site managers
- Facility managers, IT specialists
