The international trend towards near-natural and ecological gardens, the increasing demand for ecologically produced plants and food, and ongoing changes in legal requirements for the planning and maintenance of these green spaces increase the need for experts in these fields. Garden & landscape designers, nurseries, municipalities and administrations of private and public open spaces are challenged to enhance their qualifications and practical skills accordingly.
