The university course is aimed at music teachers, musicians and culturally interested students who are seeking a qualification in the field of folk music and its transmission. The aim is to achieve an artistically, didactically and theoretically education that enables students to work in the field of folk music in both their private and professional lives.
A well-balanced mixture of theoretical and scientific modules at the Danube University Krems and practice in two summer courses enable a comprehensive examination of folk music.
Target group
Music teachers and musicians. The completion of the course enables music school teachers in Lower Austria to be classified in the salary group MS3.
