This module focuses on emergency action for movable and immovable cultural property. The days in Vienna will provide insight into different concepts of conservation and restoration and a hands-on-approach will guarantee the best learning outcome for emergency action in terms of different materials differently affected by man-made or natural catastrophes.
The days in Prague focus on the topic of immovable cultural property, providing basics for the technical stabilisation of damaged buildings and in-depth knowledge on historic building materials and techniques. Architectural and art history tours in both cities will contribute to the knowledge of art history and the development of architectural features through the centuries.
