Goals
As part of a study group you will travel to the "EU capital" Brussels. You will get to know the most important EU institutions from the inside, correspondents covering large daily newspapers as well as lobbyists and interest representatives who all together will give an insight into their work.
Contents
- Provided insight into the EU institutions processes of the EU Commission, European Parliament, and Council of Ministers
- Procedures in the Austrian Representation to the EU Institutions
- EU Lobbying
- Media work in the EU (from the perspective of the EU institutions / correspondents)
- Representation of interests from the angle of national authorities
Learning result
In the course of this international study trip, you will not only expand your knowledge on how the EU institutions processes run, but as well enlarge your network. You will be able to take in the "Brussels feeling" in the lectures and evening discussions held by EU experts. Finally, the program will come to an end in Vienna, where you can on the last day catch a glimpse of how a member state communicates within the EU.
