Behavioral therapy, or cognitive behavioral therapy, is driven by a continuous development within the psychotherapeutic process. Scientific findings derived i.e. from psychology, psychiatry and neuro science are constantly applied in theory and practice.
Behavioral therapy focuses on the patient’s current life, but it also integrates various biographical aspects and if necessary issues from the past.
The method-specific psychotherapy training “behavioral therapy” provides an overall view of all the therapy’s approaches. Evidence-based, disorder-specific and trans-diagnostic approaches are imparted, and integrated as well as interlinked with theory and praxis of the behavioral therapy.
Specializations are available in the fields of Behavioral Medicine, the “Third wave approaches” (an umbrella term referring to the three approaches: Behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness based cognitive therapy) and Trauma.
This course is taught in German, therefore an excellent level of the German language is required.
