Psychotherapy – Advanced Studies in Person-Centered Psychotherapy - ÖGWG

Expert Program
Master of Science (Psychotherapie)

“Person-centered psychotherapy” was founded by C. R. Rogers. An individual‘s uniqueness is at the core of this philosophical-humanistic approach, whose one basic tendency and striving is to actualize, i.e. maintain, assert and enhance the personality. To actualize, an organism needs a nurturing environment provided by a specific quality of interaction with others.

For this reason the “person-centered therapy approach” is characterized by unconditional positive regard, emphatic striving for understanding, empathy and real presence, congruence.

We kindly ask applicants interested in attending the university course “Psychotherapy” to qualify as psychotherapists in accordance with the Psychotherapy Law, BGBl, No. 361/1990 (ÖGWG), therefore to contact the supporting education provider cooperating with Danube University Krems to complete the enrolment procedure.
