The university course “Social Work with Families (Certified Program)" teaches students the essential fundamentals required to practice and further develop social work with families.

This continuing education course aims to provide specialized, expert skills and knowledge of the most important supporting measures and forms in a practical way, as well as based on the latest research findings, to be able to assist people and especially families with (re)establishing themselves within the social framework in order to live a decent life.

Graduates of this university course will be responsible for the wellbeing and protection of children. They inform, support and are at hand to provide advice on family law and domestic issues, crises, parenting, foster and adoptive parenting, in addition to many questions concerning families, parents and children.

Graduates know how to analyze and reflect the complex wishes and needs of everyone using children’s and youth aid services.

Target Group

The university course targets individuals already engaged in the field of social work, or who wish to engage in child and family-centered social work.
