Sports Law

Expert Program
Master of Legal Studies
Master of Laws in Sportrecht

Sport is not only healthy, it also has legal and economic aspects. Headlines from the world of professional sport almost always have a legal background, and even popular, club and school sports are increasingly confronted with legal challenges at all levels. And although sport, regarded from an economic point of view, represents one of the biggest markets, and legal expertise in sports law is thus very much in demand, continuing education opportunities in this important “niche” in legal studies has been lacking to date. This course provides such an opportunity to study this promising new specialized field at the cross section between private and public law; it not only teaches legal skills in the various subjects – for example liability or sports facilities law – but (sports) business administration, human resources management and organization.

In addition to specialized sports law, the new distance learning course "Sports Law and Management, MBA" also offers the opportunity to acquire the general management skills required to manage a club/sports company.

Target Group

Lawyers, jurists, sports scientists, people who work for amateur and professional clubs and associations, people who work with and advise athletes; people working in sports management, event management, or in the sports sector in general, from business and individual companies; sports journalists; people who wish to specialize in sports law to promote their careers.
