Professional wound management has become an expertise in qualified health and nursing care. In both the short/long-term sector, caregivers are needed who can advise and care for patients and their relatives so that they receive adequate support for life with a wound and the underlying disease. The graduates of the further training will be employed both in the outpatient and inpatient areas of hospitals, as well as in old-age and nursing facilities and mobile care.

The conclusion of the two-semester Certified Program is equivalent to the further training course "Wound Management" according to § 64 Health and Nursing Law (BGBl. I No. 108/1997 as amended by BGBl. I No. 87/2016).
