Music professionals including artists, managers, presenters, producers or agents, need to constantly adjust to new market dynamics and technical innovations as the music industry evolves at a very rapid pace. As such, they must understand and be comfortable in multiple roles to successfully manage careers in the 21st century music industry. The current industry ecosystem requires, now more than ever, not only discipline related skill sets, but also soft skills, interdisciplinary perspectives, and entrepreneurial thinking.

The Master of Arts program in Music Management provides a strong foundation to students aiming for careers in the music industry covering theory and research, aesthetics and creative thinking, hands-on management skills, interpersonal and business aptitude, communication, leadership, as well as solid foundation on IP and Entertainment Law, Project Management, and key related areas. Students have the opportunity to learn from and work with established academicians, and international music professionals active in different markets. The program highlights current and evolving critical topics ranging from the digital market landscape, evolving copyright laws and industry practices, to how technology continuously affects society and its music consumption. Business models are discussed from legacy perspectives while examining current affairs and looking ahead into the future. Working together with our international faculty also provides students with valuable networking opportunities.

The program’s modular strucuture enables full-time students and working professionals alike to study at their own pace while maintaining or building their careers.
Global competitiveness, continuous professional development, self-management, professionalism, and economic performance are considered core objectives in our program with the aim to enhance our graduates’ employability and careers.
