This upgrade to Master of Science (MSc) serves to build on the study content of the PR PLUS training to become a akademischer PR-BeraterIn with specific content from the PR and Integrated Communication Master programme.
Target group The PR PLUS upgrade to Communications MSc is exclusively for graduates of the PR PLUS Fernstudium Public Relations with PR PLUS in Germany or with PR PLUS Austria at Danube University Krems, as well as PR dual (with oeffentlichkeitsarbeit.de) and Methodische Oeffentlichkeitsarbeit (with DIPR).
Admission requirements Every applicant who satisfies these entry requirements is invited to an individual entrance interview.

Entrance interviews take place on an ongoing basis.
Language German, English language skills are essential

The focus of this academic course of studies are six seminars, two within our distance learning course and four in our master thesis course. The two seminars, to attend at the beginning of the university course, cover four topics: Communication and science, covering the basics of communication sciences and an introduction into research and scientific writing; Integrated communication, covering models of integrated communication, communication guidelines, employee communication and communication psychology.

 

The following two seminars are optional and are also to be taken at the Danube University in Krems. You can choose among the following topics e.g.: Crisis communication and management, Management, Law and politics, Basics of health care communication, Strategic web communication, Communicating the EU (study abroad seminar) and more. PR and Society as well as Management in public relations professions are the topics that are integrated in our distance learning course.

 

The academic master upgrade course comprises the writing and defense of a master thesis plus 6 seminars. A separate seminar how to write a master thesis will achieve the skills of writing at master thesis. All of the seminars will be evaluated separately. The final grade will be given for a pre-reading task, active participation during the seminar and a term paper. All successful participants will be granted the internationally accepted academic degree Master of Science.
