Research performance

Personal data

Scholz specialized in decision sciences and systems analysis, cognitive and industrial psychology, and environmental modeling, evaluation and risk assessment. Simplified, his research focussed on three issues. From 1975-1993 his investigated how human systems ineract with social systems (i.e., conflicts, bargaining, negotiation, coalition formation and decision making under uncertainty). From 1994-2015 his research focused human-environment interactions and the development of the theory, methodology and practice of transdisciplinary sustainable transition processes. His new research field (referring to his research on expert systems in the late 1980s) is dedicated to a better understanding how human systems interact with digital environments.
