Science at the Department of Clinical Neurosciences and Preventive Medicine

The research of the department is focussed on the prevention of vascular diseases (especially stroke, dementia and diabetes), as well as the use of new therapeutic methods in neurorehabilitation. An important focus of research is the preservation of cognitive performance after stroke and diabetes and the use of non-pharmacological therapeutic intervention in dementia patients.

All centers of the department have in common that the focus of research is clinical neurosciences.
