The advertised professorship is established at the Department for Legal Studies and International Relations in the Faculty of Business and Globalisation.
General job description and profile:
The tasks of the professor include dedicated representation of the field of "Tax Law and Sustainable Tax Policy" and related fields of law in research, development and teaching. This includes assistance with university courses and soliciting and implementation of research projects.
The qualifications required for the position are as follows:
- Professorial qualification in the area of specialisation or an equivalent qualification
- A minimum of 5 years of job experience in the field
- Documented research and publication work in the fields of Tax Law and Tax Policy, preferred also in related subjects (in particular those of accounting, corporate and business law)
- Professional or academic activities in the field of sustainability and SDGs (sustainable development goals)
- Experience in university teaching
- Excellent didactic skills (documented by evaluations of university courses taught)
- Excellent command of spoken and written German and English (both min. C1)
- Social, organisational and commercial leadership experience and management competence
- Knowledge of the academic education and research market
- Well anchored in the relevant scientific community (documented by invitations to conferences, memberships)
- Gender and diversity competence
In addition, the following skills and competences would be desirable:
- Knowledge of languages other than German and English
- Professional experience in interdisciplinary collaboration with business administration and economics, and political sciences
- Professional experience in practising law (in particular in a law firm, consulting, legal department)
- National and international professional networking and experience in working on bodies in the field
- Experience in university structures in teaching and research
- Experience in developing and heading academic study programs
- Holistic and transdisciplinary spirit
- Strategic thinking and entrepreneurial spirit
- Social competence and highly developed communication and team skills

The minimum gross salary according to the Work and Remuneration Regulations of Danube University Krems (W1/1) amounts to EUR 5,667.14 (on a 38.5 hours/week basis). We are willing to pay a higher salary according to qualifications and professional experience.
