The use of video conference systems in teaching enables synchronous communication between lecturers and students, even outside the attendance times at the Krems campus. Possible scenarios range from online lectures, virtual group meetings and consultation hours to the involvement of experts at attendance dates.
The Service Center for Digital Teaching and Learning offers two possibilities for carrying out webinars and web conferences:
The Webinar/Video conference tool is integrated in Moodle and can be set up in all classrooms any number of times. Recording is possible, and can be directly accessed in the respective Moodle course. However, as a Moodle plugin the software is only available to Moodle users.
Adobe Connect is a webinar/video conference tool used by many universities. It is independent of Moodle, and can therefore also be used outside of the closed platform. The software is subject to a fee. The Service Center for Digital Teaching and Learning provides the departments with the licenses. Please contact us for more details!
