As a student enrolled at Danube University Krems you have the opportunity to complete part of your studies abroad and to obtain international experience, gain professional expertise, make international contacts and learn or brush up a foreign language.
The Erasmus+ programme allows you to apply for a semester abroad within and outside of Europe at our partner universities.
If you have any questions concerning outgoing mobility, do not hesitate to contact the Service Center for International Relations for help and advice.
Erasmus+ allows mobility within the EU, as well as Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Serbia, Norway, Iceland and Turkey. Switzerland is excluded from Erasmus+. Mobility is only possible at partner universities.
As an Erasmus+ student you will not have to pay study fees at the participating institutions. However, you have to continue paying the study fees for courses at Danube University Krems. In addition, Erasmus+ students can obtain financial assistance for the period of their stay abroad. The amount of financial assistance depends on the host country, and ranges from € 380 and € 480 per month. Students with child(ren) or with a chronic disease/disability can apply for special financial assistance and hence higher mobility benefits.
Erasmus+ study stays last a minimum of three and a maximum of twelve full months. The period of study and the academic achievements at the foreign partner university are determined in advance in the Learning Agreement and count towards your studies at the Danube University Krems after your return.
You will need the following to apply for Erasmus+:
- Erasmus+ Data Sheet (available on request from the Service Center for International Relations)
- Learning Agreement (available on request from the Service Center for International Relations)
- Letter of Motivation
- Certificates, diplomas and testimonials, if required
- Proof of language proficiency, if required
- Please visit the homepage of the partner university you are interested in for specific application documents.
Applications for the following winter semester are possible until 1 May, and applications for the following summer semester until 1 November.
