DESCRIPTION:Adult learning and education (ALE) creates an impact\; provin
 g this "treasure within" (Jaques Delors) is the challenge of evidence-ba
 sed continuing education research. In this transdisciplinary dialogue\, 
 the research results of the Austrian Benefits of Lifelong Learning Study
  – (BeLL in short) – will be presented\, as well as the international pr
 edecessor study.  The studies show the contribution of general adult edu
 cation to the competence acquisition of participants\, to active citizen
 ship and current educational challenges and goals such as up- and reskil
 ling\, digitalization\, participation\, and inclusion as well as health 
 and sustainability.
