Description

The focus of this evaluation is GESUNDHEIT GESTALTEN—a digital infrastructure developed by the German Association of Private Health Insurance (PKV) to support setting-based prevention. This platform provides organizations offering health promotion and prevention programs with tools for developing and delivering digital services, user support features, and resources for project management and networking. From 2022 to 2024, the Center for Evaluation conducted a development-oriented evaluation of GESUNDHEIT GESTALTEN, generating ongoing insights to inform adjustments and improvements. The platform has now transitioned into its operational phase. The goal of the new external evaluation is to systematically assess ongoing operations, ensure accountability for goal achievement, and provide evidence-based recommendations for the continued advancement of the infrastructure. Evaluation Focus Areas -Current status and utilization of the infrastructure -Benefits for providers of health promotion and prevention programs -Future perspectives To address these evaluation questions, a mixed-methods approach will be employed. Planned methods include structured online interviews, a comprehensive secondary data analysis of operational metrics, real-time online feedback collection from providers, an online focus group, and an evaluation workshop. This external evaluation is funded by the PKV Association and will be conducted from Q2 2025 through Q1 2026.
