Evaluation of Artificial Intelligence Tools for (Semi-) Automating Review Tasks in Cochrane Reviews: An Adaptive Platform Study Within Reviews

The study aims to compare the performance of conventional human-only methods with semi- automated or automated approaches in completing tasks within Cochrane reviews. It will evaluate the concordance between these methods, the human effort required for automated, semi-automated and non-automated approaches, and the user experience with different AI tools. Additionally, the study will assess the reliability of AI tools and characterize the types and impacts of errors associated with each process.
